چکیده
Salt stress is one of the most significant abiotic stresses that substantially negatively impact plant growth and productivity. However, a slew research thus far has investigated ameliorating properties arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis their potential to improve tolerance salt stress. The present study aimed evaluate compare role inocula obtained from Sabkha (S-AMF) non-Sabkha (NS-AMF) habitats Saudi Arabia on morphological, physiological, biochemical behaviors Lasiurus scindicus plant. For this reason, fungi (AMF) isolated soils were treated with salinity-exposed L. scindicus. results revealed AMF-treated plants had higher metrics increased synthesis photosynthetic pigments, which reduced by Furthermore, application AM induced an increase in activities antioxidant system, resulted reduction oxidative damage. It was also found accumulation proline phenols acted as protective measure. Moreover, inoculated S-AMF highest responses all studied parameters compared NS-AMF. This could be attributed presence habitat-specific AMF, may have adaptive plasticity tolerate or resist extreme salinity. further exploring diversity needed make it ecofriendly choice for restoration salinity-affected ecosystems.

Native arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi isolated from a saline habitat improved maize antioxidant systems and plant tolerance to salinity.
High soil salinity is a serious problem for crop production because most of the cultivated plants are salt sensitive, which is also the case for the globally important crop plant maize. Salinity stress leads to secondary oxidative stress in plants and a correlation between antioxidant capacity and salt tolerance has been demonstrated in several plant species. The plant antioxidant capacity may ...
متن کاملEffects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi on Growth and Nutrient Uptake of Apple Rootstocks in Calcareous Soil
The effects of three Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) species (Glomus versiforme, Claroideoglomus etunicatum and Rhizophagus intraradices) were studied on the growth parameters and nutrient uptake of three apple rootstocks (M.9, M.7 and MM.106). The soil medium contained a high level of calcium carbonate (38.65%). The results showed that AMF inoculation could increase almost all growth parame...

In order to quantify the contribution of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi to plant phosphorus nutrition, the development and extent of the external fungal mycelium and its nutrient uptake capacity are of particular importance. We develop and analyse a model of the growth of AM fungi associated with plant roots, suitable for describing mechanistically the effects of the fungi on solute uptake b...
متن کاملArbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in saline soils: Vertical distribution at different soil depth
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) colonize land plants in every ecosystem, even extreme conditions such as saline soils. In the present work we report for the first time the mycorrhizal status and the vertical fungal distribution of AMF spores present in the rhizospheric soil samples of four species of Chenopodiaceae (Allenrolfea patagonica, Atriplex argentina, Heterostachys ritteriana and Sua...

Toljander, J.F. 2006. Interactions between Soil Bacteria and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi. Doctoral dissertation. ISSN 1652-6880, ISBN 91-576-7088-9 The extraradical mycelium (ERM) of mycorrhizal fungi constitutes an important pathway for the translocation of energy-rich photoassimilates from plant to soil. Because of the large surface of the mycelium, and its provision of carbon, the ERM poten...
